Photovoltaic (PV) (photo = light, voltaic = electricity)
Is (usually) a semiconductor-based technology that converts light energy directly into electricity (DC electrical current and voltage), which can either be used immediately or stored, as in a battery, for later use.
Solar Cell:
A device that converts solar energy directly to DC electric energy.
–It supplies a voltage (V) and a current (I) to a resistive load.
(light, battery, motor…etc).
–Power(watt) = I x V = I2 x R = V2 / R
